Vinyl Decal Materials
Vinyl decals are digitally printed in full color. Decals have an adhesive back for the purpose of being applied to lots of different materials. Some of the most common applications are vehicle graphics, vehicle wraps, corporate identity and product identification.
We have four different decal materials to choose from.
3M Controltac Decals
Features air channels that allow air to easily escape. Most commonly used for vehicle wraps. Max print width 58"
Calendered Vinyl Decals
High gloss material. Max print width 58"
Liquid Lamination:
Liquid lamination is a very flexible, water resistant coating that will protect your calendared vinyl from UV rays, abrasions, and more. Liquid lamination is very adaptable and will move freely with your product.
Film Lamination:
Film lamination has higher UV protection, greater scratch resistance, and will protect your products from water, handling, cleaning, and more. It is often added to printed products to increase rigidity and expand their lifetime.

Die Cut, Kiss Cut, and Transfer Cut Decals
The main differences between these three cut options, comes down to the paper backing on each decal.
Die-Cut
Die-cut means that we are cutting through both the vinyl decal material and the paper backing. This cut type doesn't leave any material around the decal. Another way to look at it is to think of it like a "cookie cutter." Your decals are all individually cut out to the contour of your design, so you have individually cut decals with no paper material around the design.
* Please note, Back slit (crack and peel) is only available on decals 3" x 3" up to 12" x 12" *
If selected on sizes larger than 12" x 12" your decals will not be backslit
Kiss-Cut
Kiss-cut means we are only cutting through the vinyl layer ("decal material") and not cutting through the paper backing, leaving a paper material border around your decal. When you choose a kiss-cut decal, you will have extra material around your decal for easy peeling.
Transfer-Cut
Transfer cut option means that we will be cutting the vinyl decal material to a specified shape, graphic or text and then removing or “picking” any excess or unwanted vinyl material from your design leaving no vinyl background on your decal. We then place a transfer tape over the top of the remaining pieces of vinyl. This tape is what holds all the individual cut pieces of your decal design once you remove the paper backing from your decal. It also allows you to place multiple individual pieces of vinyl decal material on your desired surface cleanly and evenly.
* Vector File (EPS or Ai – Adobe Illustrator) format needed for Transfer Cut decals. *
Transfer Cut / Pick Charge
Transfer cut price includes 8 standard picks with a Maximum of 40 picks per sq. foot.
Additional picks are $0.02 to $0.04 per pick depending on difficulty/intricacy.
Intricately cut decals will be custom quoted based on difficulty and time required to pick.
For more information, visit the transfer cut guidelines page.

Artwork
Design Methods
If you select "Pick a Template" or "Upload a File," you will be taken into the online designer where you can add a background image, upload clip art images, add text, and upload your own graphics. If you want us to design the artwork, choose "Let Us Design" and a pop-up window will appear where you can upload any logos or images and provide special instructions.
Artwork Guidelines
For complete guidelines, please visit the artwork specifications page.
Files that print best are .eps converted to outline. We can also print high resolution .pdf, .tif, and .jpg formats. Typically 300 dpi or higher is suitable for banners.
We print in four color CMYK or six color CMYK, LC, LM. Please keep this in mind when submitting files for printing as color tone shifting may happen if file is submitted in RGB format. If there is a specific PMS color you need, please specify that to us when submitting your order so we can help you verify that the proper color mix is used (vector artwork only).
Customer supplied files are printed as submitted, so we cannot guarantee color, clarity or final output since we are printing only the supplied files and have not set them up for printing.
All of our printers are calibrated daily to ICC coloring profile standards to ensure accurate color production.
Artwork Proofs
During the checkout process you can choose to have your artwork go straight into production after payment is received* or have an artwork proof emailed to you. The proof will include a low resolution image of your artwork, a summary of your order, pricing information, and your billing and shipping information. If you select an additional proof, you will have to email or call the customer service representative back with approval before your order will go into production.
*We review all artwork before putting it into production. If we notice that the quality of your artwork is too low for production, we will email you even if you didn't select the additional artwork proof.
