Vinyl Decal Materials
Vinyl decals are digitally printed in full color. Decals have an adhesive back for the purpose of being applied to lots of different materials. Some of the most common applications are vehicle graphics, vehicle wraps, corporate identity and product identification.
We have four different decal materials to choose from.
3M Controltac Decals
Features air channels that allow air to easily escape. Most commonly used for vehicle wraps. Max print width 58"
Calendered Vinyl Decals
High gloss material. Max print width 58"
Liquid lamination is a very flexible, water resistant coating that will protect your calendared vinyl from UV rays, abrasions, and more. Liquid lamination is very adaptable and will move freely with your product.
Film lamination has higher UV protection, greater scratch resistance, and will protect your products from water, handling, cleaning, and more. It is often added to printed products to increase rigidity and expand their lifetime.

If you select "Pick a Template" or "Upload a File," you will be taken into the online designer where you can add a background image, upload clip art images, add text, and upload your own graphics. If you want us to design the artwork, choose "Let Us Design" and a pop-up window will appear where you can upload any logos or images and provide special instructions.
For complete guidelines, please visit the artwork specifications page.
Files that print best are .eps or .ai (in version CS5 or lower) converted to outline. We can also print high resolution .pdf, .tif, and .jpg formats. Typically 300 dpi or higher is suitable for banners.
We print in four color CMYK or six color CMYK, LC, LM. Please keep this in mind when submitting files for printing as color tone shifting may happen if file is submitted in RGB format. If there is a specific PMS color you need, please specify that to us when submitting your order so we can help you verify that the proper color mix is used (vector artwork only).
Customer supplied files are printed as submitted, so we cannot guarantee color, clarity or final output since we are printing only the supplied files and have not set them up for printing.
All of our printers are calibrated daily to ICC coloring profile standards to ensure accurate color production.
During the checkout process you can choose to have your artwork go straight into production after payment is received* or have an artwork proof emailed to you. The proof will include a low resolution image of your artwork, a summary of your order, pricing information, and your billing and shipping information. If you select an additional proof, you will have to email or call the customer service representative back with approval before your order will go into production.
*We review all artwork before putting it into production. If we notice that the quality of your artwork is too low for production, we will email you even if you didn't select the additional artwork proof.
Vinyl Decal Finishing Options
All decals have a laminate finish to protect the prints from being scratched and to prevent fading. You can get a square cut decal or a contour/die cut decal.
If you select the Die Cut option, we will cut your decal exactly to the shape of your design. The entire background is removed, leaving only the individual design elements themselves. Die Cut works best with full-color text and vector logos. For more intricate designs that may be difficult to Die Cut, select Contour Cut.
The Contour Cut option cuts to the overall shape of your design, removing the majority of the background and leaving only a 1/4" to a 1/2" margin around your design. The white border adds visibility and color contrast to your sign. Contour Cut is ideal for full-color text, small intricate designs, and .jpg, .tiff, .gif or other non-vector files.
This item can be produced in both our Minnesota and Las Vegas facilities, allowing us to better your experience by choosing an optimal production location based on your order's destination and specifications.
